Extension activities
A Dental Camp was conducted for the students and the people of the locality in February 2017.
The students of the department visit old age homes, orphanages, palliative care centers and extend their support in form of financial aid and mental support.
The faculty is passionately involved in popularization of Green Chemistry Synthesis to colleges and Schools by organizing workshops and seminars.
Students of the department are made aware of the need for recycling of plastics, waste management and organic farming. The students implement these techniques in the college and also propagate the concepts in their locality.
In association with the NSS Unit of the College, the department extended its expertise in soil analysis during the academic year 2015-16. A grant of Rs 2 lakhs funded by KSCSTE under Science Popularization Scheme was released to conduct the project “Implementation of organic farming in Midayikunnu Ward as a means to enhance Food Security”.
